Waipahu man run over by truck and killed

WAIPIO (HawaiiNewsNow) - A tragedy happened at Aloun farms in Waipio Saturday. A Waipahu man died after being hit by a service truck while at work.

Pedro Cervantes' grandson told us a co-worker hit his grandfather.

A worker at the farm says the truck driver backed into Cervantes, who's in his sixties.

It happened about a half mile into the farm, off Ka Uka Boulevard around one this afternoon. Workers were seen leaving the farm out of respect for the family.

Paramedics pronounced Cervantes dead at the scene.
