HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The preparations are in full swing for Neil Abercrombie's inauguration Monday.
The governor-elect personally invited the Niu Valley Middle School band to perform at the ceremony.
They've been busy practicing and getting excited.
"Just to take part in something once in a lifetime, which I keep telling them fifty years from now you'll tell your grandkids 'I was there' and it'll be a treat for them," band director Wayne Fanning said.
The 65-member band will be the first to play at the inauguration.
