John Dominis restaurant closing doors

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After 31 years of business, John Dominis restaurant will serve its final meal Tuesday night.

The fine dining seafood restaurant was supposed to close back in April, but received an extension when the new property owner did not have the proper permits.

Seventy John Dominis employees will lose their jobs.

The building, located along Kakaako waterfront, will be torn down. A new restaurant and wedding chapel will take its place.
