Salt & Pepper with Fresh Kahuku Prawns
Ingredients: 1 lb fresh Kahuku Prawns
1.5 tablespoon of cornstarch
Vegetable oil for deep-fry the prawns.
1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon red jalapeño pepper, slices
½ tablespoon of salt and pepper seasoning
(use one part garlic powder, one part sugar, one part fine ground
Black or white pepper and two part of fine salt mix together)
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
~ in a pot or deep frying pan heat the oil to about 350 degree.
~ Toss the prawns in the cornstarch and remove the excess cornstarch out then fry the prawns until the prawns is cooked, about one or two minutes depend on the heat of your stove or until the shell is crunchy.
And the meat is cooked set aside.
~ In a sauté pan with medium high heat add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, garlic and red Jalapeno pepper, cook for 30 second add on the fried prawns. Sprinkle seasoning evenly to cover the shrimp add green onion, toss for 10 seconds, turn heat off.
