Woman in critical condition following pedestrian accident in store parking lot

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - New details about the woman struck by a car in a store parking lot.

She was hit at about 4:30 p.m. Monday outside the Don Quijote store on Kaheka Street.

Police say the 51-year-old woman was struck by a Ford Mustang driven by an 18-year-old man.

The woman suffered head injuries and is in critical condition.

Police say speed alcohol and drugs were not factors.

It was almost exactly one year ago that another pedestrian was hit and killed in that same parking lot.
