HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Among the first places to open for Black Friday Toys "R" Us. They welcomed customers from 10:00 p.m. Thursday.

Hundreds of people spent hours camping out, then even longer waiting to get into the store.

The line stretched all the way around the building up on to Moanalua Road.

"It's crazy. I can't believe I actually stood out here for three hours to wait to get inside. But things we have to do for our children," Black Friday shopper Martinique Sheppard said.

Another place bargain-hunters hit... Waikele. They opened at midnight.

Not only did shoppers have to wait in line, they also had to wait in traffic.

Waikele will stay open until 10:00 p.m.

Target stores opened their doors at 4:00 a.m.

They too, had a line snaked around their building.
