MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Going into the San Jose game, the Warriors went through a roller coaster of emotions that ended with a win over the Spartans.
After receiving the good news that the U.H. football program had been invited to join the Mountain West Conference, the bad news came the very next day. Former Hawaii quarterback and Heisman finalist Colt Brennan was in a serious car accident on the Big Island that required him to be hospitalized.
The Warriors were deeply affected by Colt's condition and carried those feelings with them as they suited up at the Aloha Stadium.
In this episode, we recap the Warriors' 8th win of the season and go over how Colt Brennan's accident played into the Warriors' motivation on Saturday night.
Coach Mack breaks down the record setting game and looks ahead to a meeting with New Mexico State that will have the Warriors facing former Leilehua quarterback Andrew Manley.
Plus we'll have the latest on the U.H. football team's new opportunity with the Mountain West as former U.H. coach Dick Tomey talks about how exciting it will be to renew WAC rivalries that he remembers building in the late '70s.
