HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The U.S. Postal Service is eliminating 43 jobs in Honolulu.
The 43 employees are guaranteed at least part-time work.
The employees losing their jobs have five years or less seniority, and most of them handle mail sorting in the Postal Service's Honolulu Airport processing plant.
The job losses come as the Postal Service struggles to make money after losing $8.5 billion in the 2010 fiscal year.
