HONOLULU, Oahu (HawaiiNewsNow) - Grace Lee, whose personality and creativity helped propel Sunrise to No. 1 in the morning market, has been hired as a reporter-anchor for KPIX, the CBS owned-and-operated station in San Francisco in the nation's sixth-largest market.
This is a great opportunity for Grace, who began her career in Hawaii at KGMB9 in 2002. After three years at KCRA in Sacramento, she returned to KGMB in the summer of 2007 to launch Sunrise, with an ensemble cast that is second to none.
In three years, the show grew from two hours, to 3.5 hours and eventually to a 4.5-hour show. It became the most-watched morning news in Hawaii in May 2009 and has stayed there ever since.
In the attached video clip, Grace says a final goodbye to all of us and all of you.
