UH professor receives $1.1M grant to study human evolution

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A University of Hawaii professor has received more than a million dollars for historic research in South Korea.

Christopher Bae was awarded the grant to research how humans evolved in eastern Asia.

The project will begin next year and run through 2015.

It's one of only six research studies being funded by the Academy of Korean studies in South Korea.
