Mayor Billy Kenoi kicks off anti-drinking and driving campaign

BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - On Wednesday, Big Island Mayor Billy Kenoi is kicking off an anti-drinking and driving campaign for the holiday season.

So far this year, police say there have been more than 1,300 DUI arrests compared with more than 1,200 last year, an increase of 11.5 percent.

And out of 24 traffic fatalities this year, 15 have been related to alcohol and drugs.
