Rainbow Wahine volleyball earns top honors at WAC ceremony

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's a big honor for the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team.

They took home major awards at the WAC Women's Volleyball Ceremony in Las Vegas.

Head coach Dave Shoji won "Coach of the Year" honors for the eighth time in his career.

Junior Kanani Danielson took the "Player of the Year" award for the second straight year.

Freshman Emily Hartong earned "Newcomer of the Year" honors.
