WAIMANALO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police say they used GPS technology to track down a suspect in an i-Pad theft case Saturday night.
A 48-year-old man told investigators his i-Pad was taken in a car break-in. Police say they were able to track the stolen property to a moving vehicle in Waimanalo using the victim's cell phone, which is equipped with a GPS tracker.
Officers pulled the vehicle over on Poliala Street and arrested Charmaine Kupahu, 21, on suspicion of second-degree theft and driving without a license. The i-Pad was recovered.
Police say the suspect also had two outstanding warrants.
