WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The rally started at 4:00 p.m. and ended around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Hundreds of members of UNITE HERE Local 5 who work at the Hilton and other Waikiki hotels were joined by members of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

They walked the sidewalk on Kalia Road in front of the Hilton chanting union slogans and carrying signs.

After about 45 minutes, the protestors walked onto hotel property, through the lobby and down the beach in front of the hotel.

The International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plan is holding its annual convention there.

It's a group made up of labor leaders and members.

They sympathize with local workers. That's why they're marching with them.

"We figured with all the guys... what we're doing," Hilton reservations agent Kaleo Aarona said.

"Today is about standing together as one as one in solidarity," Hilton reservations agent Agnus Tolentino said.
