Hawaii public libraries to purge system

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - If you have a library card and haven't used it in some time, you may want to head to your nearest public library.

Come Nov. 22, the Hawaii Public Library System will purge its patron database and remove inactive accounts.

Any library cards not used in the past five years, or have not borrowed library material in the past three years is considered to be inactive.

You can reactivate your card, free-of-charge just head to a public library.

By the way if you owe any late fees, your account will not be purged.
