HONOLULU (AP) - The state is seeking nominations to the Commission on Water Resource Management.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources says applications must be submitted by Nov. 22.
A nominating committee will screen the applicants. It will then send to the governor the names of at least three people for one open position, which will begin a four-year term starting July 1.
Composed of seven members, the Water Commission has jurisdiction and final authority on matters relating to implementation and administration of the state water code.
Five members of the commission are appointed by the governor.
The other two members are the chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources and the director of the Department of Health.
