Oahu woman who murdered mother unfit to proceed in trial

Claudia Warner-Gonzales Claudia Warner-Gonzales

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - On Monday, a judge determined that an Oahu woman accused of murdering her mother is mentally unfit to proceed in trial.

Police say Claudia Warner-Gonzales stabbed her 88-year-old mother, Dorothy Stribling, to death inside a Nuuanu home.

The defense says the 62 year old has history of mental illness and should not be held criminally responsible.

A review hearing has been set for Feb. 8, 2011.
