Wahine volleyball team upends Boise St. in straight sets

MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - For the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team, winning seems as automatic as getting up every day.

But could Boise State put them to sleep on Friday night? Head coach Dave Shoji all smiles before the game and why not, since his team has won 27 straight sets in WAC play.

In the first, Brittany Hewitt glided the ball down for the kill. The Wahine would win set one, 25 to 15.

Then in the second, Kanani Danielson put down the kill to clinch the set. Hawaii wins set two, 25 to 13.

At Aloha Ball, Boise State makes it easy for the Wahine, hitting it out.

Hawaii wins the third set, 25 to 18 to clinch the match.

Danielson led the way with 15 kills.
