HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)- From ghoulies to ghosties and long-leggety beasties and things that go bump in the night, moms nationwide are struggling with creating the perfect costumes, parties and Halloween moments for their kids, friends and even their pets!
Trista Sutter knows what it's like to be a busy career mom. The former contestant of The Bachelor/Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars mom has recently launched her own clothing line in addition to keeping up with the daily challenges of being a parent. With Halloween right around the corner, busy families everywhere are preparing for a good ‘ol ghoulish time. Trista is available for live interviews to share her tips with busy families everywhere on how to create a fun filled Halloween.
Some of Trista's tips include:
- Save money and spend special time with your kids by creating homemade costumes with materials around the house! A fancy, never used table cloth makes a great cape or white wispy gown, secured with a ribbon. Cardboard from shoe and cereal boxes can be glued together and painted for robot and other costumes.
- Tripping and falling is a leading cause of accidents on Halloween, so whether your child is outside collecting treats or inside at a party, check the hem length of all costumes. Make sure all outfits have retro reflective tape or badges somewhere on their costume.
- Get on your neighbor's good side and skip the chocolate and sugar laden typical treats this year! Pass out small packs of pretzels or fruit snacks.
- Did you know the day after Halloween is the most popular day of the year for photo uploads? Well, every year more and more families are also shooting and uploading video too,
