A 9,300 mile drive from Italy to China would be regarded as an accomplishment under any circumstances. But this drive was done with no one behind the wheel. Scientists were in the back of this unassuming orange van as it drove by itself using on-board computers, cameras and sensors. The voyage is believed to be the longest ever for a car with no driver. Researchers say the road test was an attempt to see exactly what problems could befall automated vehicles.
"Bond.. James Bond." 007's world famous 1964 Aston Martin will go on the auction block later today. The car first appeared in the movie "Goldfinger" and later in "Thunderball." Car experts say the vehicle could go for more than $3,000,000. Its current owner bought the car in 1969 for $12,000 and it has rarely been seen in public.
We all know dogs can get into a lot of mischief. But Sophie the basset hound has really nailed it. Sophie ate her way right into the emergency room. Her x-ray shows a clump of white that is actually 31 roofing nails, some house siding and a dog tag. Sophie's owner forked over $3,500 for the surgery to save her. The owner says she would do anything for her best friend.
