Elderly woman who died in Waikiki crash identified

WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - An elderly woman who died after being hit by a school bus in Waikiki has been identified.

Medical examiners say the woman was 89-year-old Clelia Roudabush of Honolulu.

The crash happened at about 4:45 p.m. Monday near the Hale Koa Hotel.

Police say the bus was turning onto Kalia Road when it hit Roudabush and ran her over.

Roudabush was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died.

According to police, Roudabush was in a crosswalk.

They do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in this crash.

The manner of death has been ruled as an accident.
