SIZING UP CANDIDATE FAVORABILITY

 

With 8 days left before the general election, Hawaii News Now and the Star Advertiser teamed up for a series of political polls. The latest measures the favorability of candidates for Governor and Congress. Teri Okita will break down the results tonight at 5 on KGMB and KHNL. Then at 6 on KGMB, she'll reveal the results for Governor Lingle's favorability.

 

HPD OFFICERS CHARGED

 

Seven HPD officers were charged today following a police probe into a DUI records scandal. They're accused of filing false reports so the sergeants could rack up overtime. Minna Sugimoto broke this story and is digging up new details, including the names of the officers and charges against them.

 

TERRORISM SUSPECT ARRESTED IN HAWAII

 

21 year old Abdel Hameed Shehadeh of Hawaii had his day in Federal Court in Honolulu today. He was arrested last week, suspected of traveling to Pakistan in an effort to join the Taliban or a similar group.

 

ODOR CLEARS PART OF OCCC

 

A strong odor overcame two prison inmates at the Oahu Community Correctional Center today. Other inmates were moved to the courtyard temporarily while the air cleared. Find out what caused the problem at 5.

    

STORES CASH IN ON WARRIOR PRIDE

 

The Warriors' winning streak has a direct effect on sales of UH merchandise. Duane Shimogawa shows us how the football team's success translates into big business.

 

AMERICAN IDOL'S ADAM LAMBERT TAKES STAGE TONIGHT

 

The Glam Rock finalist who shot to stardom on American Idol will rock the Blaisdell tonight. We'll be there to get a glimpse of some of his hits tonight at 9 and 10.

 

YOUR BIEBER FIX

 

The song teen singing sensation Justin Bieber recorded while in Hawaii for his concerts will be part of his new acoustic album coming out November 23rd.
