HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Looks like Hawaii drivers are paying more at the pump. That's according to the latest AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.
This past week, the state average gasoline price increased by five cents bringing the total to $3.51 per gallon.
The average price for regular unleaded gas in Honolulu is at $3.37 per gallon. That's up two cents from last week, eights cents from last month and 23 cents from this time last year.
Over on the Big Island, the average price for regular unleaded gas in Hilo is at $3.51 per gallon. That's up three cents from last week, 15 cents from last month and 26 cents from this time last year.
On Maui, the average price for regular unleaded gas is at $3.86 per gallon.
According to AAA Hawaii, gas prices increased both locally and nationally this past week, despite the usual drop after Labor Day.
