TB testing to be held Tuesday for McKinley students, staff members

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Department of Health says about 200 students and staff members will be tested for tuberculosis at McKinley High School.

This comes after last week's scare when a student was diagnosed with active TB.

According to the DOH, only students and staff who shared the same classroom as the ill student will be tested.

Testing will take place on Tuesday.

A letter of notification has been sent to parents and guardians of all students, and an informational meeting was held last Friday.
