HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows Democratic Hawaii U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye leading Republican contender Cam Cavasso by 13 points.
A telephone survey conducted on Oct. 13 shows 53 percent of likely voters picked Inouye, while 40 percent picked Cavasso.
According to the survey, three percent prefer a different candidate and four percent are undecided. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percent.
This is the first Rasmussen Reports poll to include Cavasso.
Inouye has represented Hawaii in the U.S. Senate for 47 years.
He defeated Cavasso back in 2004 with 75 percent of the vote.
