HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...
A bakery in Austin, Texas celebrated its anniversary by throwing a cupcake party for a good cause. All proceeds from the Sugar Mama's Bake Off went to a non-profit that helps keep the city pet-friendly. The organization builds dog parks and pet runs. The event had live music, free cupcakes and ice cream and even a cupcake cannon.
Residents of Mexico City gathered over the weekend to see the world's largest enchilada created and eaten. It was the 8th Annual Enchilada Fair. The 230 foot long staple of the Mexican diet weighed almost a ton. A Guinness World Record representative was there to certify the beef-filled tortilla shell was a record.. just moments before the crowd on hand devoured the evidence.
And another world record was set over the weekend and it was a first for the country of Armenia. It was the world's largest chocolate bar. The chocolate monstrosity took 3 days to make and weighs 9,722 pounds. At more than 16 feet long, the bar was cut up and given free to the public. By the way, the average Armenian eats 88 pounds of chocolate a year.
