New poll shows virtual tie for Abercrombie, Aiona in governor's race

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Just 17 days until the general election, and a new poll out shows that the race for Washington Place is a virtual tie.

According to Ramussen Reports, an independent polling company based in New Jersey, Neil Abercrombie leads Duke Aiona by just two percentage points with four percent of the voters still undecided.

The survey of 500 likely voters was conducted on Wednesday.

In June, the same polling company had Abercrombie with a 16 point lead over his Republican opponent.
