HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It happened at 7:20 a.m. Friday on Moanalua Freeway west-bound near the Puuloa off ramp.
That's when a 78-year-old woman driving a 1991 Toyota Camry crossed the merge divider, and struck a Kenworth truck traveling onto the freeway.
The Camry then became attached to the truck's front bumper.
The driver of the truck, a 30-year-old local male, immediately stopped the vehicle.
The Camry then dislodged into the concrete wall and flipped over.
Paramedics transported the woman to Tripler Army Medical Center in critical condition. She suffered head and bodily injuries.
The male driver remained at the scene.
