Four local schools need votes to win $50K grant

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Four Hawaii schools are in the running to receive one of four grants from Clorox's "Power A Bright Future" school grant program.

The program was started to assist underfunded school programs including sports, music and art classes.

The grand-prize is a $50,000 grant.

The four local schools include Nuuanu Elementary School, Mayor John Wilson Elementary, Kaimuki Performing Arts Center and Lahainaluna High School.

Online voting will run through Nov. 1.
