Maui: Three people arrested in $660,000 drug bust

HAIKU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three people were arrested on Maui after an Oct. 7 drug bust.

After a month-long investigation, authorities performed a search warrant on a residence in Haiku, resulting in the arrest of two adult males and one adult female.

About 2,092.5 grams, or 4.6 pounds, of crystal methamphetamine was seized. Police believe the estimated street value is $627,750.

Authorities also confiscated 338.95 grams of cocaine, worth an estimated $33,895.

The three adults were arrested for Methamphetamine Trafficking I, Promoting A Dangerous Drug I and two counts of Prohibited Acts Related To Drug Paraphernalia.

They have been released pending further investigation.

Maui police say the investigation is continuing. It is undetermined at this time if more arrests will follow.
