HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Among the nation's airlines, Hawaiian Airlines reported the best results for the month of August.
Air Travel Consumer Report, which is issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation, said Hawaiian ranked airlines in four categories.
Hawaiian ranked #1 in punctuality, fewest flight cancellations and fewest mishandled baggage reports for August.
Hawaiian also led the nation's airlines in on-time arrival with 95.6 percent.
Out of the 6,349 total flights in August, Hawaiian canceled four of those flights, which is less than 0.1 percent.
As for mishandled bags, Hawaiian received 1.61 mishandled baggage reports for every 1,000 passengers served.
