HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More good news for "Hawaii Five-0." It is the most played back show in DVR history. That's what Nielsen ratings showed when the information was released by CBS Monday.
"Hawaii Five-0" debuted on Sept. 20. The number of people who recorded the premiere episode on DVR, and watched it within seven days added 3.4 million viewers.
That brought the total number of premiere episode viewers to about 17.6 million.
"The playback audience of 'Hawaii Five-0' alone exceeds the population of Chicago, the third largest city in the U.S." chief research officer, CBS and president, CBS Vision said.
Overall, DVR playbacks generate an additional 12 percent in viewers for the network and 15 percent in adults ages 18-49 during premiere week.
Last week's "Five-0" episode landed 12.24 million viewers, not including DVR viewers.
This is the third week in a row the show has won its time slot.
