HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - On Monday, Honolulu Police received help to catch criminals with non-lethal force.
The donation of 23 taser guns came from the Honolulu Police Community Foundation, headed by former chief Lee Donohue.
This brings the department's total number of tasers up to roughly 600.
They're all equipped with video cameras to record each incident.
Police say they used the weapons 60 times in 2009 and 35 times so far this year.
