KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Renovations at the Poipu Hyatt on Kauai is coming at a price for 70 employees.
According to public relations manager for the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa Diann Hartman, the hotel was forced to temporarily lay them off in late August, but they will return to work in December.
A little over half of the hotel's 602 rooms are out of service.
