Apparent drowning victim was Washington state man

LIHUE, Hawaii (AP) - Police on Kauai have identified a man who apparently drowned at Wailua Falls as 25-year-old Kevin Kim of Edmonds, Wash.

Kim's name was released after his parents were notified Wednesday.

Police said earlier that Kim had become separated from a group swimming at the falls on Sunday.

Authorities were notified when Kim was discovered missing.

Kauai Fire Department rescue specialists, Engine 3 and Air 1 responded to the call, and Kim was found unresponsive at the base of the falls.
