HALEIWA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Developer Andy Anderson is not about to give up on his idea of building a boutique hotel in Haleiwa just because he has encountered opposition from some North Shore residents.
Anderson has told the chairman of the North Shore Neighborhood Board that he would like to come back to Haleiwa to answer community concerns about the project.
"I talked to the chairman this morning and I asked him if we could, even if I had to pay for it, next month or the month after, whenever he could arrange it with his board members, to get a bigger building. We'll go to the gym or the school," Anderson told Hawaii News Now.
Anderson went to Tuesday's neighborhood board meeting, but the meeting got out of hand and was called off before he could answer questions about his proposed project.
