HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

Japanese scientists have built a robot that could be the first step in helping disabled people walk. The robots are designed to help paralyzed people stand up on their own two feet and walk using just 6 buttons. It took 10 years to build, but officials say this is the first of many that are designed to help those who cannot walk.

The British Government is bribing people to quit smoking and to stop eating junk food. The pilot program is giving pregnant women grocery vouchers if they give up cigarettes.. and those who were obese got paid if they lost weight. Children were offered toys if they ate more fruits and vegetables. The amazing this is.. it's working!

A new burger restaurant in Arizona is giving ex-convicts a chance at a new life after time in jail. Thirteen ex-convicts sever up the chow at the Big House burger joint. The men all met while attending church in prison and when they got out they opened the restaurant and are cashing in on their time in the slammer. Burgers on the menu range from the Lifer, to the Short-Timer and the Solitary Confinement.
