HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

The world record for the most people stepping on grapes was set in Spain over the weekend. In the Northern Spanish town of Labastida, 977 people gathered together to step on grapes at the same time. Stepping on grapes is an age-old process to extract the juice for wine. For this event, more than 22,000 pounds of grapes were crushed.

Halloween is just around the corner and in Germany they are getting ready buy having the 2nd Annual International Pumpkin Boat Championships. Huge pumpkins were hollowed out and outfitted with out-board motors. Several teams raced in the final along a 650 foot long race course.

And in another international competition, contestants competed in the finals of the World Karaoke Championships in Moscow. Thousands of fans supported amateur singers from across the globe in the 3-day competition. The winners were competing for 2 record deals, as well as a chance at stardom. Professional singers were not allowed to participate.
