Good Things: September 24, 2010

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

Stephen Wampler lives with Cerebral Palsy, but that didn't stop him from climbing Yosemite National Park's highest mountain. It took him 6 days to reach the summit of El Capitan mountain. With the help of 2 friends and a special climbing chair built on a unique pulley system, he pulled himself up the mountain using his hands.. 5 inches at a time. It was all to raise money for disabled children worldwide and to show them that they can do anything they put their minds to.

Have you ever dreamed of living in a palace? You can do just that if your live in Austria. Ordinary residents are allowed to live on the grounds of some of the country's most beautiful palace estates. It's not cheap. The nicer rooms rent for more than $4,000 a month. But if you ever wanted to live like royalty, here's your chance.

And don't forget, the U-H Warriors are back at Aloha Stadium this weekend after a long road trip to the mainland. And speaking of the road, this Saturday.. U-H students can hitch a free ride to and from the Charleston Southern game. Buses begin boarding at 3:00pm at the U-H Manoa campus. Make sure you're on time. The last one departs at 3:30pm.
