HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaiian CEO Mark Dunkerley told Bloomberg News he's brought in experts on serving Asian customers to train Hawaiian employees. Hawaiian launches to Tokyo Haneda November 17th and begins serving Seoul in January.
Washington says second quarter US travel prices rose 2.7 percent compared to last year. But spending rose 3 percent. So travelers didn't just pay more, they chose to spend more.
Travelocity and Expedia both report hotel room rates are up 3 percent or more from last year. But they're still down 12 percent from the year before that. Biggest hikes: Mexico and Hong Kong. Here, Maui and Kauai are discounting.
