Big Island police seek help in identifying body

HILO, Hawaii (AP) - Police on the Big Island are asking the public's help in identifying the body of a man discovered in the area of Kings Landing in Hilo.

Acting Lt. Reed Mahuna said Monday that the body was located July 28 inside a blue tent at a campsite 100 feet east of Pakane Road.

Mahuna says the man is believed to have been in his 30s or 40s, between 5-foot-6 and 5-feet-7 and to have had dirty blond hair and a short beard. He was last seen wearing jeans shorts, a T-shirt and a backpack.

Police don't suspect foul play.
