Report: Personal income up slightly in Hawaii

HONOLULU (AP) - A new federal report says personal income inHawaii grew by 0.8 percent in the second quarter, down from 1.1 percent posted in the first quarter. The US Bureau of Economic Analysis on Monday ranked Hawaii 44th in the nation.

The agency says across the country, personal income growth averaged 1 percent in the second quarter, up slightly from 0.9 percent in the first quarter. Growth rates ranged from 2 percent in North Dakota to 0.3 percent in Nevada.

Personal income includes earnings and property income.
