Police searching for sex assault suspect

LAIE (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for a sexual assault on a Laie beach. At around 12:01 AM on September 13, the victim was approached by the suspect while walking on the beach fronting 53-936 Kamehameha Highway in Laie.

The victim attempted to flee, but was pushed to the ground and sexually assaulted. The suspect took off in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a male between 23 and 35 years old. He is between 5'9" and 6'0" tall, weighs between 150-170 pounds with a slim build. He has shoulder length brown hair, possibly worn in a ponytail and razor stubble on his face. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and basketball shorts.
