HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)- The Laniâkea YWCA invites the public to come to a wine tasting! Join our members for a tasting of fine boutique wines and tasty pupus prepared by the dining room at Laniâkea. Proceeds will benefit YWCA programs such as Dress for Success Honolulu and Home Base Transitional Housing.The wine tasting will take place on Thursday September 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Laniâkea YWCA, located at 1040 Richards Street in downtown Honolulu.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase at the Laniâkea Hospitality Desk; $25 for YWCA members, $30 non-members, $35 at the door; co-sponsors include JMD Beverages and the Catering Connection.All are welcome to come to the dining room at Laniâkea and sample the brand new menu, created by new Chef Shayne Kobatake, formerly of the Hawaii Prince Hotel and Padovani's Bistro & Wine Bar. The new menu includes such delights as the Salmon Dynamite, capped with a caramelized mixture of masago, crab, and shrimp on a cold tofu-watercress salad and unagi glaze, and the Grilled Vegetable Panini, marinated all day and finished on the grill, on foccacia with creamy gorgonzola pesto spread.
