HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Now that the primary elections are over, it's time to hit the road.
The Democratic candidates will be on the Big Island Monday.
At their unity breakfast Sunday on Oahu, gubernatorial candidates Neil Abercrombie and Mufi Hanneman put their differences aside.
Abercrombie beat the former mayor handily at the primary, taking more than 59 percent of the vote, while Hanneman got 38 percent.
Hanneman was gracious in defeat, firmly putting his support behind Abercrombie.
In return, the former Congressman acknowledged his opponent, despite the tough campaign.
Joining Abercrombie on the Democratic ticket is lieutenant governor nominee Brian Schatz.
