HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Saturday, family and friends of the late Mitsuo Aoki will gather to pay their final respects to the revered UH religion professor. Aoki was probably best known for his work with people who are dying, helping them to understand themselves as unique and valued individuals.
Those who knew him say he was a hard working man who loved to help people.
"We're very sad that he passed away but he's lived a long and full life, and at 95, you know, what more could one ask? Again, it's just been a wonderful gift, a living treasure" said friend Alan Gamble.
Visitation starts at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Church of the Crossroads. Services start at 3:00. Aoki was 95 years old.
