Morning run encourages soldiers to stay physically fit

FORT SHAFTER (HawaiiNewsNow) - More than 2,000 Fort Shafter soldiers were up bright and early Wednesday morning for the "one team warrior run."

It was a 4 mile run led by Lieutenant General Benjamin Mixon through the streets of Fort Shafter starting from Palm Circle.

The goal was to build camaraderie and encourage the soldiers to be physically fit.  It's part of a week of events on Oahu celebrating the Army signal Corps' 150th birthday.
