Candidates cast vote Wednesday as end of early voting draws near

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Mayoral candidate Panos Prevedouros and lieutenant governor candidate Adrienne King cast their votes Wednesday at Honolulu Hale. The window for early voting is closing soon.

Early voting sites statewide will close at 4:00 PM Thursday. After that, votes will have to be cast at polling places on the day of the election.

Absentee ballots must be received by election officials by 6:00 PM Saturday, meaning they'll have to be mailed at least a day or two beforehand.

Early voting has been available since September 3 at five locations on the Big Island, three on Oahu and one each on Maui, Kauai and Molokai.
