HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

"The Force" is strong in Europe, as hundreds from a galaxy far, far away gathered for Starforce 2010. Okay, most people were from Poland.. or countries nearby. It is the largest Star Wars event in Europe and this year's rally was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of "The Empire Strikes Back."

Two years after Michael Phelps famously won 8 Gold Medals in its pools, Beijing's Olympic Aquatic Centre..  popularly known as the "Water Cube".. has been transformed into Asia's biggest indoor water park. With renovation costs of 200 million yuan or about $32 million.. the 130,000 square foot park boasts a wave pool and a plethora of twisted water slides.. plus a stage for live music and performances.

And the red carpet will be under the stars of Waikiki tonight as the premiere of Hawaii 5-0 debuts at Sunset on the Beach. Crews arrived early yesterday to begin setting up the stage and screen. Hawaii will get to see the first episode a week before it airs on national television. Among the celebrities expected to show up are actors Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park. When the pilot is aired on network tv on September 20th, it will be the same date the first episode of the original Hawaii 5-0 aired 42 years ago.
