ROGERS, Ark. (HawaiiNewsNow) - Michelle Wie was hoping to return to Stanford in two weeks with two straight wins under her belt.

But it just wasn't meant to be, after she led by three strokes heading into the final round of the P&G Northwest Arkansas Championship.

The Punahou grad stumbled down the stretch, but was just one shot behind of Yani Tseng going into the par-5 18th hole.

Wie would birdie the hole on a nice putt from a few feet away. However, Tseng got a birdie as well, to win the tournament.

"I played good today, I was happy with myself, couple of iron shots went a little bit left today, but for awhile I hung in there and made a lot of good putts and just was a little short," Wie said.

Wie is now seventh in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings. Tseng shot a 6-under-par-65 on Sunday and finished up with -13.

Wie carded a 2-under-par-69 for a total of -12. She pockets a little more than $180,000 for the second-place showing.
